Creative Clinical Social Worker

Self-Love Valentine: Once you get past the strangeness of writing yourself a Valentine, this activity can be pretty fun and engaging

  • Have your client decorate a card for themselves and include a note where they highlight their strengths (ex. Thank you for being…).  Then have them write “my gift to you is (insert self-care activity).”
  • To take this a step further create a heart shaped pocket in the card, leaving the top unsealed.
  • Then cut out smaller hearts and have your client write an affirmation on each one (click here).  The hearts are kept in the card’s pocket and the card is taken home to review as needed (examples not client work)
